We partnered with Universal to create a first-of-its-kind, immersive digital experience on Messenger to celebrate the release of F9. This includes the first ever iteration of Movie Mate™ as well as the F9 Messenger Art Suite, which houses a custom 360 Messenger background and chat theme (available on both FB and Instagram).

Movie Mate™ is a timed Messenger bot experience for moviegoers that proactively answers all of their burning questions from the comfort of their couch. Designed with a choose-your-adventure setting, we created unique chat flows to surprise and delight both super fans and new fans alike. The bot houses brief, time-coded notifications containing narrative context, gifs, and never before seen BTS content designed to leverage Messenger’s capabilities to augment and uplevel the “second screen” viewing experience. Aimed at generating excitement ahead of the release of F9, Universal opted to scale the experience to all eight of the existing films in the series, releasing the experience to the public June 9. Structured and scalable for not only every key period within the film release cycle, but across verticals as well, we devised an incremental solution designed to thrive in a signal-less world.
